The Seat of the Valencian Parliament invites you to explore its history in the heart of the city’s historic centre. This is one for your to-visit list.

Sede de las Cortes Valencianas, the Seat of the Valencian Parliament in València, also known as Benicarló Palace, is a must-visit if you’re keen to discover the history of the Region of Valencia. The Parliament is located in Plaza de San Lorenzo, in the heart of the city.

The Seat of the Valencian Parliament is housed in a three-storey Gothic and Renaissance building that was constructed in the 15th century as a private residence for the prominent Borja family. The palace is defined by its impressive façade, the tower and the drastic refurbishments that have transformed it during its history, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries. The palace, which housed the Government of the Second Spanish Republic during the Civil War, remains a centre of social and political life in the city and the Region of Valencia.

Check out the visiting hours and take advantage of the opportunity to explore the Seat of the Valencian Parliament, which is close to Serranos Tower, the cathedral and all the other wonders inhabiting València’s historic centre and beyond.
