As every year, during the first weekend of March, Almoradí holds its National Congress of the Artichoke of the Vega Baja del Segura.

Its programme features activities for the whole family, from children’s cooking workshops and live cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs from across Spain, to concerts and a large public Torrá Popular (traditional open-air roast) of artichokes.

All of this is complemented by the best tapas—always with the artichoke as the star—served by local bars and restaurants throughout the entire weekend.
