El Campello celebrates World Tourism Day this year with a guided tour of the Torre de la Illeta and the archaeological site of Illeta dels Banyets


On September 27, promoted by the UNWTO, WORLD TOURISM DAY 2025 will be celebrated under the theme: Tourism and Peace.

To mark this important day, El Campello Tourism is offering a special program of guided tours:

“El Campello, Crossroads of Civilizations” – Torre de la Illeta + optional: Illeta Archaeological Site (€1)

Led by accredited guides, we will visit the Torre de la Illeta, a symbol of the town. We will learn about its history, origins, and function, and optionally, courtesy of the MARQ, we can visit the archaeological site of “La Illeta dels Banyets” for €1 (to be paid at the ticket office on the day of the visit).


Meeting point: at the foot of the Torre de la Illeta

Duration: Tower (approx. 30 minutes). ILLETA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE (approx. 50 minutes)

Accessibility: partial (gravel paths, stairs in the Tower, the Archaeological Site is accessible)

Language: initially scheduled in Spanish

Starting time: 10:00 a.m.
