Between April and November, Elda is running three living history tours entitled ‘The voices of the Republic’. The guided tour will transport you back to a particularly interesting period in the town’s history: from the final quarter of the 19th century to 1939 when, after being the capital of Spain for ten days, the Government of the Spanish Republic abandoned the town in search of exile. ‘The voices of the Republic’ will take you on an exploration of the people, buildings and emblematic places connected to this historic moment.
