Discover one of Novelda's most emblematic buildings, its 17th-century town hall.

The Ayuntamiento of Novelda, Novelda Town Hall, in Alicante, is one of the most fascinating buildings in a town that is ideal for a photography tour. It is located in El Vinalopó Medio and boasts some intriguing architectural features that are not to be missed!

On your voyage of discovery of what to see in Novelda, we recommend stopping by Plaza de España, where you can admire the Town Hall's 17th-century façade. It is a sober building, which originally served as the Lonja del Agua, or meeting place where the town's irrigation officials auctioned off turns to irrigate the surrounding fields and orchards.

Novelda Town Hall has undergone several modifications throughout its past, with elements such as its wrought-iron balcony added in 1754, or the stone coat of arms dating from 1903. Novelda Town Hall's façade also features a sundial from the mid-18th century. Be sure to include this stop on your route around town!
