Discover a watchtower converted into a lighthouse that stands vigil on the Santa Pola coast.

The Torre Atalayola, Atalayola Tower of Santa Pola, is a defensive watchtower built in the 16th century that has taken on a very important role today. Its structure has been used as the base for a lighthouse that forms part of the stunning landscape in this corner of Alicante. You can still appreciate its truncated pyramid shape built on a square base.

Although you cannot access the tower itself, you can admire it and take photos from the surrounding paths. Take the opportunity to visit the beautiful Santa Pola Lighthouse lookout, along a metal walkway above the cliff from where you can see Tabarca Island.

Come and discover the Atalayola Tower and Santa Pola's fascinating historical heritage. You will never regret this fabulous visit!
