This exhibition presents twenty lithographs created by the artist in 1975 for the book *Maravillas con variaciones acrósticas en el jardín de Miró* (Wonders with Acrostic Variations in Miró’s Garden), published by Ediciones Polígrafa.
These works are characterized by the composition of their elements—arabesques, circles, and lines—and, above all, a chosen color palette that converges into a colorful, joyful universe where the artist's inventive ease is clearly visible. Miró used to say, "I do not distinguish between painting and poetry," which is why his relationships with poets and writers were crucial to his creative output. *Maravillas con variaciones acrósticas en el jardín de Miró* by Rafael Alberti is a highly ambitious project in which the two artists decided to create a musical accompaniment for each work, rather than simply illustrating the texts. To achieve this, Miró and Alberti maintained an intense correspondence; it was Alberti who wrote to Joan Miró from Rome in 1971: "(…) I believe I heard that you liked my portfolio dedicated to Picasso and that you are willing to do something similar with me. Except that I would write special poems for you—which I would also letter by hand—and you would create the engravings..."
