El Molino Tower in Caudiel affords incredible views. Walk to the watchtower and take a look around.

Listed a Site of Cultural Interest, El Molino Tower in Caudiel sits atop a mountain, making it the perfect destination for your hike. The structure, which affords fantastic views, was in its heyday used for defence and surveillance. El Molino Tower in Caudiel is also known as Aníbal Tower, as legend has it that the Carthaginians set up camp here to rest and gain strength ahead of attacking Sagunto.

El Molino Tower in Caudiel is a cylindrical structure with three floors. The ground floor was used as a cistern and the roof is made of tiles. You can still see an old window and materials with which it was built. Historic remains like burials and coins have also been found at the watchtower, providing an insight into the area's past.

We recommend coming to visit Caudiel, exploring the natural scenery, walking in the footsteps of the old town walls – of which some parts remain – and taking a walk to El Molino Tower. A wonderful way to spend your getaway in this pretty part of the province of Castellón.
