Check out one of Caudiel’s most firmly rooted festivals and get ready for an abundance of traditions!

Fiesta de Santa Úrsula, Santa Úrsula Festival, also known as Las Mozas Festival, takes place in October in Caudiel on the Saturday closest to Santa Úrsula Day which falls on 21 October every year.

The clavariesas, youngsters who take a pivotal role in the festival, steal the festive spotlight. The festival consists of a pilgrimage to Santa Úrsula natural spring whereby the clavariesas or mozas give out freshly baked sweet goods and local liquors. There is a procession in the dark the night before and a musical rosary.

Santa Úrsula Festival is a celebration overflowing with charm where you can admire rondas joteras, a traditional event in which groups of dressed-up musicians walk around the town performing on the streets. Enjoy immersing yourself in these authentic displays of local folklore and tradition.

Your visit to Caudiel could include a day out hiking or cycling along the Vía Verde de Ojos Negros, a greenway perfect for exploring the local natural sites. The ancient town walls, Mill/Aníbal Tower and Carmelitas Descalzas Convent all await. The stunning natural scenery is sure to win anyone over.
