PARADES OF THE CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF MOROS I CRISTIANS OF PENÍSCOLA

The Peñíscola Moors and Christians Cultural Association celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. On the 19th, they will pay homage to the city's patron saint with a mass, and on September 20th and 21st, they will hold their magnificent parades along Avenida Papa Luna and the old town. Friday, September 19th

7:30 p.m.: Parade from City Hall to the Hermitage of Our Lady of Ermitana

8:00 p.m.: Mass to present the banners - Location: Hermitage of Our Lady of Ermitana

After Mass: Parade through the town

Route: C. Santos Mártires, C. Olvido, C. Mayor, C. Príncipe, C. Atarazanas, Portal de Sant Pere, C. Marcelino Roca, Av. de la Mar, Av. d'Espanya, Pl. Constitución, Av. Akra Leuke, marquee located on the port esplanade

12:30 a.m.: Free dance open to the public and disco until dawn - Location: Marquee located on the port esplanade.

Saturday, September 20

7:00 p.m.: Entrance parade of the Moors and Christians

Route: (Starts at Av. del Papa Luna 15 and 18) Av. del Papa Luna, Av. d'Espanya, and Pl. de Bous

12:30 a.m.: Free dancing open to the public and mobile disco until dawn. Location: Tent located on the port esplanade.

Sunday, September 21

11:00 a.m.: Parade through the town in honor of the Lady of the Moors and Christians and the Moro de l'Any

Route: Port esplanade, Akra Leuke Avenue, Llevant Street, Marcelino Roca Street, de la Mar Avenue, d'Espanya Avenue, Constitución Square, Akra Leuke Avenue, and the port esplanade

7:00 p.m.: Departure of the Moors and Christians parade

Start of the Christian squadrons: Pl. de Armas, Santos Mártires Street, Olvido Street

Start of the Moorish squadrons: Museum of the Sea, Mayor Street

Route of both squadrons: Portal Fosc, Bajada del Portal Fosc, Pl. de Bous, Av. de la Mar, Av. d'Espanya, and Pl. Constitución.
