Live flamenco in the courtyard of a 16th-century manor estate, once the sun has gone and the stone still holds the heat of the day. The musicians are from the comarca and play a metre from whoever is listening.

This is not a tablao. There is one table and one group, because the house is let whole and never shared. That changes what happens: flamenco turns out differently depending on who is in front of it, and with fourteen people at most, the musicians play for those fourteen and not for a room.

It usually starts with the guitar alone, while people are still at the table, and builds from there. What comes next depends on the night. There is no fixed set and no marked finishing time.

The courtyard is enclosed by the façade of the house, with its arches of Andalusi descent and the ceramic friezes of citrus fruit running along the wall. Above them, the Virgen de los Desamparados painted on ceramic two centuries ago. It is a place with an acoustic of its own, made of wall and not of loudspeaker.

The experience is offered on the estate to those staying in the house and is arranged before arrival, because it depends on the musicians' availability.

How to get

Five minutes by car from Valencia airport and fifteen from the historic centre. There is parking inside the estate. Exact directions are sent when the booking is confirmed.
