Museo Municipal de Requena, the Municipal Museum of Requena, is housed in three separate venues, each of which is dedicated to a specific topic. The El Cid Palace branch of the museum is home to a collection dedicated to the wine making tradition while San Nicolás de Bari Church will take you on an archaeological journey into the world of wine and an exploration of La Solana de Las Pilillas, an archaeological site dating to the 7th century BC. El Carmen Convent branch of the Municipal Museum of Requena exhibits ethnological collections as well as remains from palaeontological and natural science finds. You and the kids will love seeing all the fossils up close. Beyond marine invertebrates, there are the remains of mammals and even dinosaurs on display, all of which were found in La Plana de Utiel-Requena county.

The ethnological collection will show you traditional clothing, what houses and life was like in the town and rural settings as well as the origin of the delicious tradition of artisanal sausages.
