Come and explore a municipality that tastes of bobal wine and is snaked with hiking and cycling trails through lovely scenery. Here’s a short guide to read for before you set off.

Located in La Plana de Utiel-Requena, Sinarcas is a great municipality to enjoy some hiking and wine tourism as well as all the other activities and experiences that are on offer. Shall we take a look around ahead of your next getaway?

What to do in Sinarcas

There’s plenty to see in Sinarcas. To start, we would recommend taking a stroll through the centre and visiting two interesting museums: the Rural Habitat Eco-Museum and the Cereal Museum. Here you will learn what life was like decades ago in Sinarcas and you can take a guided tour (which can be reserved in advance) to learn how the grain was milled. You will also want to make sure you take the time to pop your head into Santiago Apóstol church.

Outside the centre of Sinarcas, you can visit a winery – with tasting sessions included – and visit Arboretum Mediterráneo (make sure you book in advance at the local Ayuntamiento) to immerse yourself in typical Mediterranean plant life. The arboretum is accessible to people with disabilities.

During your time in Sinarcas, you can also walk beautiful hiking trails that will take you to the landscapes of El Regajo gorge and Los Lavajos and Las Hoyuelas floral microreserves. You will find yourself immersed in pine trees, holm oaks and Spanish juniper as you walk or cycle sign-posted trails through the scenery.

Other areas of natural beauty that you will want to visit include Las Grajas Viewing Point, Negro Pool and San Marcos chapel. Sinarcas really is a walker’s paradise. Once you’ve finished your hike, you are sure to have an appetite: the perfect excuse to try the local artisanal sweet treats and sausages, as well as the bobal wine. There is also a rural tourism centre where you can sign up to interesting experiences.

Discover the beauty of inland province of Valencia on a trip to a destination that has plenty to offer. Sinarcas is a great place to embark on your next adventure.
