La Iglesia Parroquial de San Pedro Apóstol, the Parish Church of Saint Peter the Apostle, in Sueca (Valencia), is one of the town’s most emblematic buildings. Of Romanesque origin dating back to the 13th century, it has undergone successive expansions over time, incorporating Gothic altarpieces from the 14th century and Renaissance works from the 16th, followed by Baroque renovations and later alterations from the 18th to the 20th centuries.
The interior of the Parish Church of Saint Peter the Apostle in Sueca stands out for its three naves, a transept crowned by a large dome set on an octagonal drum, and an ambulatory that wraps around the apse, as well as the Chapel of Communion with its own dome. The bell tower, dating from around 1700, features five tiers and is built of brick and stone. The current façade, flanked by two towers, lends the ensemble a solemn presence.
