Parish Church of San Pedro the Apostle of Tavernes de la Valldigna: History

The current church began construction in 1744 on the site of an earlier building that originally housed the old Gebralcobra Mosque. Its structure is notable for its recently restored façade, which includes a sundial and a side door facing the Royal Monastery of Santa María la Valldigna. Inside this church in Tavernes de la Valldigna, the large dome, the luminosity of its spaces, the Chapel of Communion, and a small parish collection are particularly striking.

The complex is completed by an 18th-century bell tower, composed of four sections and topped by a later structure.
