Ermita de Nuestra Señora del Remedio, Nuestra Señora del Remedio Chapel in Utiel, sits on a lovely mountain embraced by nature some 10km from the centre. A visit is a must during your time in Utiel. Built in 1725, Nuestra Señora del Remedio Chapel is a Baroque place of worship that has been extended various times over the years, giving it its present-day appearance.

Inside, you will see Manises ceramic tiles and a triptych by Vicente Macip, one of the great Valencian Renaissance painters. Another treasure is the sarcophagus of the first hermit to retire to the site, a story that is well worth finding out more about. When you’re inside Nuestra Señora del Remedio Chapel, you’ll feel that you’re in a space bursting with interesting details and amazing frescoes.
