València’s bridges are history-steeped landmarks in the city. Explore the length of the Turia River Park to see them all.

València’s bridges, which cross the former bed of the River Turia – which is now the Turia River Gardens – are an essential part of the city’s urban landscape. Why not put together an itinerary around València to see them all?

València’s bridges comprise a total of 18 constructions from different periods and styles. La Trinidad Bridge, for instance, is one of the oldest, having been built in the 15th century. El Mar Bridge, El Real Bridge and Serranos Bridge all date to the 16th century while San José Bridge was constructed in the 17th century. The city also has other bridges that are much more recent and, sometimes, futuristic. This is the case of L'Assut d'Or Bridge, Las Artes Bridge and El Ángel Custodio Bridge, which is protected by four remarkable gargoyles.

We’d recommend taking a walk or a bike ride along the over 9km stretch of the Turia River Gardens, from Cabecera Park to Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, to be blown away by the unique beauty of each and every one of València’s bridges. What’s more, you’ll discover all sorts of incredible monuments – such as Serranos Tower, and museums like IVAM and the Fine Arts Museum – besides them. So what are you waiting for? Come and do some bridge spotting in València.
