The Paseo Ecológico Litoral de Benissa, the Benissa Coastal Ecological Trail, in Alicante, follows the town’s 2.5 miles of coastline, taking in dramatic cliffs and quiet coves along a well-marked trail. Informative panels along the way highlight the area’s local history, culture and natural heritage.

You can choose different sections of the Benissa Coastal Ecological Trail, such as the stretch from the Benissa Playa Tourist Information Office to Les Bassetes Marina, or onwards to Cala Advocat, enjoying beaches and coves that are ideal for walking and snorkelling.

Along the route, you’ll come across seagrass meadows, ancient aeolianite rock formations and protected micro-reserves home to unique plant species. This easy, linear route has a total elevation change of 93 metres and offers panoramic views over the Vall de Pop, as well as access to green spaces, picnic areas and outdoor fitness zones. It's a perfect blend of nature, gentle exercise and cultural discovery. Don’t forget your snorkelling mask!
