What are you looking at?
You’re looking at Benissa, a destination in La Marina Alta which has exceptionally beautiful beaches, coves and cliffs. It’s the perfect place to do some water sports. The town’s historic centre is liberally sprinkled with interesting buildings, such as Casa Museo Albargues and the town hall, which is housed in an old hospital. You also won’t want to miss the coastal walk, Paseo Ecológico, which connects Benissa and Calpe. The views will blow you away.
What can you do close to Benissa?
Close to the sea and surrounded by other great tourist destinations, Benissa enjoys a great location. Xàbia/Jávea is just half an hour drive away. Here you can enjoy a wild stretch of the coastline with coves like Portitxol, Sardinera and Granadella. The town also has a number of popular festivals: Moors and Christians and Fiesta de San Juan, to name just two.
Even closer is Calp. Just 15 minutes away, the destination sits in the heart of the Costa Blanca and is defined by its rocky outcrop, Peñón de Ifach. Climb the trails up to the top and you’ll be rewarded with vistas that will take your breath away. The salt flats are a great place to do some birding and the port area is home to bustling restaurants where you can savour the local cuisine.
