Stroll along by the Med, uncovering pretty coves along the way on this truly special coastal trail.

The Sendero Ecológico de Calalga a Bassetes, the Calalga–Bassetes Ecological Trail in Calp, Alicante, is an easy, family-friendly coastal walk linking Cala Calalga with the Les Bassetes marina. The route follows a dirt path running alongside the sea, with gentle rises and dips and sections protected by railings, and offers wide views over the Mediterranean and towards the iconic Peñón de Ifach.

This ecological trail in Calp passes rocky coves ideal for snorkelling or paddleboarding, as well as a few beach bars where you can stop for a drink. At Les Bassetes Yacht Club, there’s a natural seawater pool with calm waters that’s perfect for children, along with sailing trips and other water-based activities.

With a total distance of around 2.2 miles out and back and a height difference of just 50 metres, the trail is an easy way to combine nature, light exercise and leisure, all while exploring Calp’s coastline in a safe, well-protected setting.
