AUDITORI I PALAU DE CONGRESSOS DE CASTELLÓ
Auditori i Palau de Congressos de Castelló is run by Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC), a Generalitat Valenciana public law organisation.
Designed by Carlos Ferrater, the striking white concrete auditorium was opened on the 1 April 2004. Grey quartzite flooring, wood, glass and steel define the building which flaunts generous and light-filled spaces. 90,000m2 grounds wrap around the auditorium.
The symphony hall has capacity for up to 1,200 people and is equipped with technologies that adapt to the performance. The chamber room, meanwhile, seats up to 350. Dedicated to the Castellón guitarist Manuel Babiloni, it is the ideal space to host chamber concerts and smaller events. The auditorium also has an exhibition room, Magic Box room, press room, restaurant and other generous multi-purpose spaces where all sorts of different cultural events are held.
