Come and discover celebrations that offer tradition and delicious cuisine.

Las Fiestas Patronales en Honor a la Virgen del Niño Perdido, the Patron Saint Festivities in Honour of the Virgin of the Lost Child of Caudiel, Castellón, have been celebrated since 1649 and take place on the second Sunday in September.

They are notable for religious events such as the high mass, the procession, an offering of flowers and the singing of hymns, as well as the revival of the manual ringing of bells since 2022. The festival combines tradition and culture with open-air dances, cultural performances and bullfighting events, including the running of heifers and the toro embolao (a bull with a fireball attached to its head).

In terms of cuisine, these festivities in Caudiel would not be complete without the typical pancetta, pepper and sausage cakes, or the traditional local ‘balonas’ (pastries). Come and enjoy a festival brimming with history, flavour and fun!
