What are you looking at?
You can see El Cerezo and Les Cases beaches in Xilxes. This stretch of the coastline is a good place to enjoy all sorts of water sports, from beach volleyball and beach football to paddle boarding and more. The blue waters are also an irresistible place to take long and lazy dips. Xilxes is a destination that breathes the Mediterranean. As you wander around you will feel the sea breeze on your skin and enjoy the smell of the salt lingering in the air.
What can you do close to Xilxes?
It goes without saying that the beaches are one of Xilxes’ biggest attractions, but it’s not the only one. Xilxes is located in southern province of Castellón and wandering its streets is an experience in itself. The gardens of Plaza del Santísimo Cristo de la Junquera and Plaza del Ayuntamiento, with the Unión fountain, are well worth a visit. The town is swept up in beautiful landscapes, such as the marjalería, which is a protected wetland whose scenery and wildlife will blow you away. The local cuisine is the cherry on the cake. Make sure you try arròs a banda (a rice dish with seafood) and pastries filled with sweet pumpkin.
