Come and visit one of Gaibiel’s most iconic sights: a tower that is an easy walk away from the centre.

Torre de Dalt, Dalt Tower in Gaibiel, also known as Torre del Dit, El Dit Tower, which means ‘finger’ in Valencia, is an old tower that served defence and surveillance purposes from its position atop a hill. Its defining feature is its circular shape.

You can come and visit Dalt Tower on foot: it’s an easy 15-minute walk from the centre of the village. Built in Muslim times, the tower is surrounded by remains of walls, suggesting it was once part of a fortified structure. The atalaya used to communicate with Gaibiel Castle.

Dalt Tower is a picturesque landmark that will get you reaching for your camera. The scenery in the background make it a particularly pleasing sight. You can use your visit as an excuse to visit this part of Sierra de Espadán Natural Park.

So how about it? Come and visit Dalt Tower, Gaibiel Castle and the municipality’s magnificent surrounds. There’s plenty to see in Gaibiel.
