Anna boasts a number of beautiful outdoor spaces such as Fuente Negra, an ideal place to spend a day set to the relaxing sound of running water.

Fuente Negra in Anna is an absolutely lovely place to spend the day enjoying the great outdoors and a delicious picnic. This picture-perfect area has everything you need for a day out, including parking, which makes things nice and easy.

Fuente Negra is situated in Horquetas, a natural area on the outskirts of Anna in the direction of Chella. As you arrive, you will see a pretty bridge, that dates back to Muslim times, known as Puente de Garahamet. This will lead you to Paseo de las Fuentes, where you will find plenty of water in the form of two springs: Fuente de Abajo, which is inside a cave; and Fuente de Arriba, that has five spouts.

At Fuente Negra, the water surges up to create a small lake. It is here that on the 25 November every year, locals hold a lunch to celebrate Santa Catalina. The dish served is traditional stew called cazuela.

Fuente Negra is an ideal place to while away the hours in the warm months as there are plenty of trees providing much-welcome shade. The area is also on a trail that will take you on an exploration of a landscape defined by water and ending up at Gorgo Catalán.

With its Albufera and Palacio de los Condes de Cervelló, Anna is a wonderful choice of destination for a getaway. Put Fuente Negra on your to-visit list and enjoy a great day out in the fresh air.
