Things to see at Cristo de la Agonía Hermitage in Antella

The hermitage is tied to old local legends surrounding Antella’s noble families and stands at the end of the picturesque Calle del Calvario, where the pace naturally begins to change.

The walk up is part of the experience. A stepped path leads past the Via Crucis chapels, which take inspiration from Gothic architecture and are built in exposed brick with colourful ceramic tiles. At the top, the chapel and the surrounding vistas make the shlep more than worthwhile, with a scene that feels steeped in both history and calm.
