The Antella Palace Tower is an emblematic 14th-century building and one of the most representative examples of the town’s defensive heritage in La Ribera Alta.

The Torre del Palacio de Antella, also known as the Torre Árabe de Antella, Antella Palace Tower, stands in the historic centre of this town in Valencia’s La Ribera Alta area. It is the main surviving architectural feature of the former manor house that belonged to the feudal lords of the Barony of Antella.


Antella Palace Tower: architecture and medieval origins

Rectangular in plan, with a solid masonry structure and dressed stone at the corners, the tower originally served both defensive and residential purposes. Over the centuries, it has witnessed the changing fortunes of the estate and the coexistence of different cultures in the Júcar river plain.
