Boasting captivating scenery and impressive castles, Buñol is well worth a visit. It is also the host of one of the most internationally renowned festivals in the Region of Valencia. On the final Wednesday of August each year, a tomato fight takes place to commemorate a spontaneous battle that took place many years ago. The event forms a sea of red, which really is a sight to be seen. Buñol’s La Tomatina draws in people from all four corners of the world. Remember that this is a ticketed event, so book in advance.
