One of its most unusual features is that the front of the church still preserves the original orientation towards Mecca. The façade itself is built from stonework, brick and ashlar, which gives the exterior plenty of visual appeal.

Inside, a bright single nave runs beneath a barrel vault, with ten side chapels opening off it and connecting with one another. Look out for the delicate plasterwork with floral and geometric motifs, as well as the solid two-tier bell tower.
