March is synonymous with Fallas in Manises. These festivities, dedicated to Saint Joseph, are the ultimate expression of Valencian celebration.
Manises is one of the Valencian towns that pioneered the Fallas festival, with the first one erected in 1924. Since then, the number of Fallas committees has grown, and there are currently 11, distributed throughout the city's different neighborhoods.
The Fallas committees, along with the city's Local Fallas Board, are responsible for filling the calendar of festive activities.
Highlights include street parades and open-air dances, firecracker displays, processions, and above all, the moving offering of flowers to the Virgin of the Forsaken.
And as the grand finale of this festival, there is the cremà, the burning of the monuments, marking the end of the festival and, at the same time, the beginning of a new one.
Without a doubt, Las Fallas is a festival you can't miss and that you have to experience at least once in your life.
So, you know, Manises is the perfect place to experience Las Fallas full of music, fireworks, and color.
In 2026, Las Fallas will be celebrated from February 21st to March 19th.
It's recommended to confirm the official dates and event information here beforehand.
