Dating back to the 18th century, Navarrés Patron Saint Festival fills 8 to 12 October with fancy-dress parades, traditional fairs lined with paraetas and colourful cultural activities.

The Fiestas Patronales de Navarrés, Navarrés Patron Saint Festival, in Valencia, takes place from 8 to 12 October in honour of the Santísimo Cristo de la Salud, with a smaller celebration in April known as the medio año marking the halfway point.

Things to see during Navarrés Patron Saint Festival

The festival dates back to 1746, when work began on the parish church. The programme opens with the coronation gala for the senior festival representatives, followed by the procession carrying the image from the chapel into the town centre. Over the next few days, Navarrés mixes cultural traditions with events for all ages, from live music and a popular fancy-dress competition to a lively fair packed with rides and traditional craft stalls known locally as paraetas. The festival reaches its finale with the procession back up to the chapel, bringing this historic celebration to a close.
