Every July, Oliva brings its history back to life with a festival full of excitement, music, parades, traditional community dinners and spectacular battles.

During the third week of July, Oliva comes alive with history, colour and tradition during its Moors and Christians Festival. The celebrations begin on Thursday with the official proclamation from the Town Hall balcony, followed by parades to the cábilas to celebrate Putxero Night, an open-air dinner where locals and visitors gather to enjoy a delicious traditional rice stew. On Friday, the Christian Parade dazzles with light, music and energy before the festivities continue with a beach party. At dawn on Saturday, don't miss the spectacular Moorish Landing, followed in the evening by the magnificent Moorish Parade. On Sunday, after the Children's Parade, Christians and Moors recreate the final battle at the castle. The festival is back!
