Saint Francis Festival Oliva 2025

SATURDAY 20:

5:30 pm: Musical‑theatre “The Canticle of the Creatures”.

Place: Multipurpose Centre.

SUNDAY 21:

7:00 pm: Presentation of the festival book, and concert by the Choir of Saint Francis.

Place: Church of Saint Francis.

SATURDAY 27:

11:00 am: Parade and proclamation, accompanied by music and dance groups.

7:00 pm: Transfer of the image of Saint Clara, accompanied by the Band of Our Lady of Sorrows of Oliva.

Route: Monastery of the Poor Clares to the Church of Saint Francis.

9:30 pm: Solidarity dinner for the benefit of Caritas (bring your sandwich), with live music by the duo “La Trampa”.

Place: Street of St. Ignatius Loyola and Street of Santa Rosa.

THURSDAY 2:

9:00 pm: Popular dinner (you must bring your sandwich)

Place: Parish Centre of Saint Francis

FRIDAY 3:

9:00 pm: Dansà dance, by the dance group Raval i Vila,

Place: Niño Street

10:00 pm: Popular dinner (you must bring your sandwich)

10:30 pm: Aurora singing through the streets of the town

Starting place: Parish Centre of Saint Francis

SATURDAY 4:

11:00 am: Performance by magician Carlos Bafí, galley games (“cucañas”) and traditional children's games.

Place: Gregori Maians Promenade (in front of the Multipurpose Centre).

12:00 pm: Popular paella contest.

Place: Gregori Maians Promenade (in front of the Multipurpose Centre).

SUNDAY 5:

12:00 pm: Sung Mass by the Coral Santa Cecilia

Place: Church of Saint Francis

7:30 pm: Procession, accompanied by the Band of Our Lady of Sorrows of Oliva and the Artistic‑Musical Association of Oliva.

Route: Church of Saint Francis, La Creu, Calitxe III, Manuel de Falla, Dr. Alexandre Fleming, Poor Clares, Gabriel Ciscar Road, Niño, Montaner, Count of Oliva, Santa Cecilia, Elca, Pego Road, Hermitage Area, Church of Saint Francis.

Once the procession ends: firework display, and transfer of the image of Saint Clara to the monastery of the Poor Clares. Then refreshments for everyone.
