Enjoy an easy walk to this charming hermitage, winding through the surrounding rice fields.

La Ermita de los Santos Abdón y Senent, the Saints Abdón and Senent Hermitage, also known as the Muntanyeta dels Sants Hermitage in Sueca, sits right in the heart of the Albufera Natural Park—and it comes with some truly impressive views. Here’s a closer look at this unique spot and its surroundings.

Where it is and what the Saints Abdón and Senent Hermitage in Sueca is like

This small hermitage stands on top of a low hill, the only one in the natural park, rising gently above the surrounding rice fields and offering wide, open panoramas in every direction. The building itself is modest in appearance, but step inside and you’ll find an unexpected highlight: a beautifully restored 18th-century kitchen, preserved so visitors can admire it up close.

The Saints Abdón and Senent Hermitage also features an early atrium and an altar adorned with 17th-century images, adding to its quiet historical appeal.

It’s an excellent spot for anyone who enjoys gentle walks, open landscapes and photography. Definitely one to add to your hit list!
