Things to see at l’Hospitalet Church in Sueca
With a rectangular layout, a single nave and chapels set between buttresses, l’Hospitalet Church is especially notable on the outside for its pitched roof covered with traditional Arabic tiles and its dome decorated with white and blue ceramic tiles.
Inside, the transept is crowned by a dome on pendentives decorated with symbols of the Passion. The presbytery houses a carved wooden image of Cristo del Hospital, flanked by figures of Santa Lucía and San Andrés, as well as altars and sculptures dedicated to San Blas and the Virgen de la Soledad.
