Visit Santos Juanes Church in València - a religious site with a Gothic soul and Baroque heart located next to the Central Market.

La Iglesia de los Santos Juanes, Santos Juanes Church, located in the heart of València’s historic centre, stands on the foundations of an ancient mosque and was originally a Gothic building built in 1240. It features a large impressive nave, striking buttresses and the mysterious rose window known as "la O de Sant Joan", which is thought to have never been opened.

The church has undergone several renovations following numerous fires, evolving into the Baroque monument we see today, dating back to the 17th century. Its grand rear façade, located near the Lonja de la Seda and Central Market, is adorned with a striking relief of the Virgen del Rosario and features a unique weathervane in the shape of an eagle, known as "el pardal de Sant Joan."
