Alicante's Playa del Postiguet is a great starting place from which to discover the city and there's nothing like starting off with a nice swim! It's located at the foot of Mount Benacantil where the beautiful Santa Barbara Castle stands and is really easy to reach.

About 650 metres long, Alicante's Playa del Postiguet is lined with a pleasant, lively promenade, where walkers and runners alike are bathed by the sea breeze. The waters are usually calm and shallow, perfect for children learning to defend themselves in the sea; they can also build big castles on the golden sand. This beach also offers services such as sunbeds and parasols or fun pedal boats to rent for easy sailing, a beach volleyball court, lockers and, of course, lifeguards. Its public toilets and car park, together with the fact that it has adapted access, make it a beach for everyone.
