This festivity, coinciding with the advent of spring, has a varied programme of cultural events, activities for children, and parades. The main event is the Virgen del Carmen floral offering, followed by a maritime procession in which the Virgin is transported in the company of the local fishing fleet. Upon the Virgin's arrival at the port, the traditional and emotive Salve Marinera, or Marine Salute, will be offered, after which a magnificent fireworks competition is to take place.
