Enjoy a one-of-a-kind celebration in the Vinalopó valley and discover how Elda fills its streets with the magic of fire every September.

The Fallas of Elda, first documented in 1929, are one of the most epic traditions in the province of Alicante. Come and see how they are celebrated.

When are the Fallas in Elda?

The Fallas of Elda have one very special feature, and that is that they take place in September. It is a festival with an identity of its own, where satirical monuments and ninots fill the neighbourhoods with light and colour. Over five exciting days, beginning on the third Wednesday of September with the Pregón and the Crida, you can enjoy emblematic events such as the Plantà, the fun Cabalgata del Ninot, the powerfully moving Flower Offering and the solemn procession in honour of the town’s patron saints, San Crispín and San Crispiniano. Finally, the Fallas of Elda come to a spectacular close at midnight on Sunday with the Cremà, when the flames consume the monuments and mark the beginning of a new Fallas cycle. Come and discover this wonderfully authentic tradition in El Vinalopó Medio.
