The weekend after the major festivals, "Fallas" are celebrated in Elda, a mix of customs from Alicante and Valencia, providing unique events that differ from the rest. So, on Friday the streets wake up occupied by effigies, which fill the village with color and life. For four days, various acts events take place, such as choosing the pardoned "ninot", which gets rid of being burnt in the flames, the awards to the festive committees, the floral offering to the patron saints of the celebrations, St. Crispin and St. Crispiniano, and the procession. The most exciting moment is the 'crema', that is, the burning of the effigies. This gives an end of the festival but it also begins a new year of work and enthusiasm to prepare the festival of the following year.
