Embark on an emotional journey through an ancient tradition, crossing stunning mountain landscapes and connecting with the local history. Find out about this Valencian pilgrimage.

El Camí dels Peregrins de les Useres, Les Useres Pilgrim Walk, is a 36-kilometre trail rooted in Castellón tradition. Originating in the 14th century, it began as prayers leading up to Ascension Day and has since evolved into a celebrated pilgrimage.

Les Useres Pilgrim Walk traverses the Valencian countryside, weaving through Useras, Lucena del Cid, Chodos and Vistabella del Maestrat. The route crosses dramatic mountain ranges and past picturesque villages with old farmhouses, chapels and archeological sites. The rich and lively biodiversity is a striking contrast to the solemn pilgrims who walk in complete silence.

The pilgrimage starts from Les Useres very early in the morning and involves twelve pilgrims, a guide, a cook and even religious singers. Along the way, the path is beautifully decorated by local residents. This longstanding tradition is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and takes place on the last Friday of April. Put it in the diary and experience something truly unique.
