The old Ducal palace built in the first half of the 16th century by Alfonso de Aragón y Sicilia (Alphonse of Aragon and Sicily), the second duke of Segorbe. Access to the first floor is by means of the wide staircase which is presided over by the shield of the dukes of Segorbe. The assembly hall is adorned by a magnificent coffered ceiling from the14th century, of Mudejar style. Another coffered ceiling is to be found in one of the Círculo Segorbino (Segorbe Circle) halls, of Italian style square plank moulds, which together with the previous one are considered amongst the most important in the Region of Valencia. Also worthy of mention are various doors with Mudejar trazados de lacerías.
