What to do in autumn on the Alicante coast: Torrevieja, Guardamar del Segura and Santa Pola

We’re going to start this autumn itinerary for the Alicante coast in Torrevieja, where you can visit a natural park with lakes whose waters have a pinkish hue, old defence towers and a submarine that has been turned into a floating museum. In Guardamar del Segura, make sure you visit the archaeological sites of Rábita Califal and the Phoenician Port of La Fonteta – they will take you aback!

To conclude this first part of the itinerary, head to Santa Pola whose historic centre and defence towers are a joy to explore and where you can enjoy a spot of birdwatching. Las Salinas de Santa Pola Natural Park is the best place for this.

Visit the Alicante coast in autumn: Alicante and Villajoyosa

Alicante city has got countless experiences to enjoy and monuments to visit. Be sure to explore Santa Cruz district and climb up the beautiful Santa Bárbara Castle. Alicante is a wonderful place for a lazy lunch and taking photos: Explanada de España is a great spot.

Autumn itinerary for the Alicante coast: Benidorm

To round off our autumn itinerary for the Alicante coast, we’re going to a uniquely vibrant destination. We are talking, of course, about Benidorm. Here the temperatures are warm in autumn and Levante and Poniente beaches will beckon you to take a swim. An alternative is to spend a few days at the incredible amusement parks.
