Come and admire one of Ademuz’ greatest landmarks: the ruins of a medieval castle that has been protecting the destination for centuries.

Castillo de Ademuz, Ademuz Castle, has overlooked its namesake destination for centuries, affording breathtaking and strategic views. We’d highly recommend climbing up the hill it sits atop during your time here to visit it and Santa Bárbara Chapel, which is part of the castle site. Ademuz Castle is an unbeatable viewing point where you can gaze down on the municipality clinging to the hillside below.

A medieval defence structure, Ademuz Castle still boasts the ruins of its old curtain walls. The sight is high on charm and will get you reaching for your camera.

We’d recommend you set off on an exploration of Ademuz’ historical heritage during your time here. If you’re keen to see some sights, you’re going to want to put beautiful La Virgen de la Huerta Church and the Iberian settlement of La Celadilla on your itinerary: they’re both incredible places where time seems to have stood still. To round off your experience, there’s nothing quite like a hike through Las Blancas Forest. Discover everything that is waiting to be explored in this part of El Rincón de Ademuz.
