Visit a unique square during your time in València – get ready to be impressed by the unusual architecture.

Plaza Redonda in València is a round square that always impresses visitors. Designed by Salvador Escrig in the 19th century, it was one of the first projects to be completed in the city during a time of rapid transformation. Today it is one of the most beautiful and lively spots in the city, and well worth a visit.

With a diameter of just 37 m, the square is small and enclosed by a total of 34 buildings. The circular shape, located at what was at the time the geometric centre of the city, symbolises the walls of València and creates a striking contrast with the winding streets around it. This lovely square is still used for commercial purposes and can be accessed by four different entrances. While you’re here you can discover the artisanship of traditional Valencian clothing and enjoy a varied array of restaurants.

Make the most of your time in València and visit Plaza Redonda, enjoy the delights of the Central Market and soak up the beauty of the historic city centre. València has got plenty of surprises up its sleeves.
