This chapel in Busot should be on your must-see list of monuments to visit. Enjoy your getaway!

The Ermita de San José, San José Hermitage in Busot, Alicante, is an 18th century church, striking for its Latin cross floor plan and its carefully preserved architecture. With a nave of three bays and chapels snuggled between the buttresses, it connects at the chancel with the sacristy and the old hermit's house.

This Busot hermitage stands out for its polygonal façade facing a door with a lowered arch, a niche containing a relief of Saint Joseph and a circular oculus that brings light flooding into its interior. This space is the protagonist of some of the town's most important events, such as the floral offering to the patron saint during the Moors and Christians festivities, and the departure of the Three Wise Men's parade every 5th January, making it a place brimming with symbolism and tradition.
