Join in this colourful event that brings the Misericordia festival in Burriana to a close.

La Batalla de Flores, the Battle of Flowers in Burriana, in Castellón, is held on the last Sunday of the Patron Saint's Festival in honour of the Virgin of Mercy, which takes place during the first half of September.

This closing event transforms the streets of the city centre and old town into a spectacular show, with more than eight thousand kilos of confetti and streamers thrown during the entertaining battle. The floats and costumes, made using the ancient technique of paperet, parade through the streets while residents and visitors enjoy an atmosphere that is riotous in colour, music and joy.

The festivities also include open-air dances, brass bands and bullfighting shows. The Battle of Flowers culminates with an impressive fireworks display, bringing the colourful festivities to a close. Don't miss these traditional festivities in Burriana!
