Algemesí’s Bullfighting Week is a unique taurine festival held during the last week of September, following the celebration of the Mare de Déu de la Salut. Each year, tradition comes to life with the construction of a one-of-a-kind bullring, a true example of popular architecture and engineering.

BULLFIGHTING WEEK 2026

From 18 to 27 September

The Chupinazo marks the start of the Setmana de Bous d’Algemesí festivities on Friday, 18 September, at 9:00 pm, in Muntanya Street.

A total of 10 bullfighting events have been scheduled from 19 to 27 September 2026, at 6:00 pm, except for the morning practical session of the Valencia Bullfighting School, scheduled for Sunday, 20 September, at 11:30 am.

Evening entertainment

Algemesí bullring will host the following evening programme:

  • Friday 18: La Pato Orchestra (12:00 midnight).
  • Saturday 19: Tribute to El Canto del Loco.
  • Sunday 20: Bull-leaping and dodging exhibition.
  • Monday 21: Local DJs.
  • Tuesday 22: Mónaco Party Orchestra.
  • Wednesday 23: Grand Prix.
  • Thursday 24: Penyes Cadafaleres Parade.
  • Friday 25: Marsal Ventura.
  • Saturday 26: Efecto Pasillo.
