Colección Museográfica Museu de la Seu, La Seu Museum Collection, also known as Museo de la Colegiata, the Collegiate Church Museum in Xátiva, is housed in the wonderful Nuestra Señora Collegiate Church Basilica. Opened in 1996 by Arturo Climent, the museum is home to a spectacular collection of religious art that you won’t want to miss if you’re interested in Xátiva’s history. The museum also runs temporary exhibitions that will pique your interest.

Among the treasures on display in this museum in Xátiva are Gothic paintings like the Santa Ana altarpiece and other works of art from the Valencian painter Jacomart, gold pieces of incalculable value like Custodia Mayor, the 14th century Processional Cross and the Chalice of Callixtus III. All these pieces belonged to the Popes descending from the Borja family.
